About Us
Melghat Development Society is a non-profit, voluntary and registered organization established in the year 1996. It has been founded by a handful of volunteers under the leadership of its visionary and founder Director Rev. Dr. John Maliekal. It got its own office only in 1999.
Dr. John Maliekal
Dr. John Maliekal has acquired his double doctorate in law from Canada and sharpened his skills in various organizations in European and American continents before he identified his passion to work with the tribals of Melghat.He has dedicated his life for the service of the poor and marginalized tribals of Melghat over the last 30 years.

Activities
Hostel for boys and girls:Due to the Pandemic, we could not carry on as usual. MDS admits boys and girls coming from villages after completing their V std. Besides sending the children to school for formal education, MDS conducts non-formal education too... |
